Clutched vs PandaDoc

Last checked 20 October 2026

PandaDoc is a well-established document automation platform. Teams use it to create proposals, quotes, contracts and forms from templates, with e-signatures, a content library, CRM integrations and payment collection.

Clutched is built around one flow for service businesses: a proposal made from your own packages, which the client tailors, signs and pays from a single link, with the agreement and first invoice created automatically.

How Clutched is different

Built from your packages, not edited by hand

In Clutched you set up your services once, with prices, inclusions, minimum terms and contract clauses. Each proposal is assembled from them, and the agreement is generated from the options the client actually picks.

From signature to invoice automatically

When the client signs, Clutched raises the first invoice straight away, with the deposit you set, and can take the payment there and then. Invoices sync to Xero or QuickBooks on Pro.

Direct Debit for recurring work

Connect your own GoCardless account to collect retainers and care plans by Direct Debit, alongside card payments through your own Stripe account. Money goes to you, never through us.

An assistant that does the setup

Paste a rate card to create your packages, or ask for a proposal introduction and Clutched researches the client's website first. You approve every change.

Which should you choose?

Choose PandaDoc if you need a broad document automation platform: lots of document types, forms, a large content library or a specific payment gateway.

Choose Clutched if you sell services from a set of packages and want proposals, signatures, deposits and invoices handled in one simple flow, including Direct Debit for recurring work. You can try it free with real clients, no card needed.
